Event: Rath Yatra In Houston, Texas (w/video)

Sunny skies and light winds were Lord Jagannatha’s way of showing His approval of the first ever Rath Yatra, the festival of Chariots, held last Saturday in Houston.

The event was brought together by the efforts of Sri Govindaji Gaudiya Math and the Oriya Community of Houston. Lord Jagannatha’s Chariot rolled in Houston at the brand new India House facilities. All major Hindu organizations of Greater Houston supported the event.

The festival was a huge success and it attracted more than 2500 people of all ages. It was a first time ever event in Houston.
