Sexy Gal Pals in Chanel and Desi Fashion Aplenty!

Diamonds a are girls best friend and that came true when socialite and philanthropist Mandy Kao hosted ‘Diamonds and Pearls‘ a Chanel themed party for her girlfriends to just have some fun this holiday season.

This black and white girls night party heated up as 50+ guests showed up in their Chanel best with sexy lace tutu dresses, pearls, and designer accessories. Mandy had gone all-out to decorate her place for the perfect Chanel look with make-overs and make-up tips from professionals, a photo booth, mouth watering appetizers and the perfect pink cake with Coco Chanel logo. The hostess made a statement in her fishnet stockings and black lace mini dress.

The guests got to experience Chanel make-up tips from professional make-up artists as they informed that the look for this holiday season was porcelain skin, dark neutral eyes, red lips and light color blush. The room swelled up with a broad cultural array of guests who had also gathered to celebrate Connie Kwan-Wong‘s birthday. To some that was a pleasant surprise. Just like Mandy Kao, Connie is no stranger to charity and is at present busy working on her charitable foundation and was eager to announce a rare exciting evening of ballroom dance performances.

It might be chilly outside but these girls were all about fashion. Spotted looking hot and sexy apart from the hostess were Elan Couture fame Simran Rihal, Melissa Chou Yan, Miya Shay breaking the black and white dress code but still looking sharp in purple, Raj Patel in a black beige lace dress. Hiru Mathur and Sneha Merchant were spotted matching in Christian Louboutin black pump shoes. Hiru opted for the holiday look in a red dress while Sneha Merchant was the show stopper with her charming outfit!

On Sunday at the Houston Crowne Plaza Hotel it was a desi fashion fair with local fashionistas and models walking the ramp in glamorous Indian and Pakistani outfits. The event was a collective effort put together by SBR magazine along with the support of local south asian business owners.

“Guests got an opportunity to shop different designs and styles all under one roof, enjoying a day of entertainment and networking,” says event hostess Nara Lakani. “The idea is to bring together under one roof the ‘perfect look’ giving the opportunity to explore different brands and accessories all in one vicinity,” she added.

Without a doubt the highlight of the event was the fashion show as gorgeous models walked the ramp to the latest Bollywood tunes by DJ AV. Designers displayed a very exclusive range of outfits giving the viewers the perfect idea for their next upcoming glam event. It was very tough for the hostess to pick one favorite designer as she thought each one had an amazing display. The fashion show was made successful with designer participants like Nisha’s Collection, Parinaz Boutique, Afsheen Mehboob, Craft Clothing, and Viranski.

Girl pals spotted supporting the event were Samia Adil, Sameera Faridi, Rabia Khan, Sneha Merchant, Anahita Desai, Myra Khan and many other fashion lovers. Indo-American Society Magazine Lights Camera Action endorses Anahita Desai as the ‘Diva of the Day‘ as she looked cool in her white thigh high boots and a white sweater. Quite a risk taker I must say as many might shy away from the color white. However, Anahita looked cute and sassy.
