Fundraising Fever | LLS Candidates Compete for Man & Woman of the Year Title

There are just about four weeks left for the grand finale of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society‘s Man & Woman of the Year 2012 Campaign. Candidates have geared up for the race by hosting several fundraiser events. During this period candidates raise funds by making phone calls to potential sponsors or by hosting some fun events.

Recently spotted cranking up dollars for a blood cancer cure and spreading the word, was Ayna Sehgal who hosted a ‘Brasserie Beats Blood Cancer‘ happy hour event at award-winning Narin’s Bombay Brasserie located in the Galleria area. Guests enjoyed an evening of delicious appetizers prepared by chef Gary Grewal and ladies had a special treat as Ayna displayed her Miss Hollywood Jewelry line.

The evening was smooth flowing with pink Celebritini cocktails, light bites and delicious ‘Icing’ cupcakes. The best is yet to come though, Anya is busy planning a Bollywood Chic Night, a fun filled evening with guests dressed as bollywood characters.

Meanwhile candidates Abby Lestin and Joe Francisco were having some fun at Momentum Porsche with Boy and Girl of the Year Noah and Joan for a Dance Off Fundraiser Event. Guests with generous hearts gathered in large numbers to support the candidates who hosted an evening of dance, cocktails, cars and cupcakes. Smart spunky emcee Edward Sanchez kept everyone on their toes inspiring them to donate for the wonderful cause.

Caught in action hip swinging, Kile Churman Spelz, Zack Spelz, Ashlee Lee, Patty Fadhouu, Helen Oettinger, and Lacy Dalcour Salas. Diane Caplan of Momentum Jaguar and Momentum Land Rover, made the evening special by presenting a $10,000 check to Abby for her LLS Campaign. Although, hats off to Marcus Carter who won the dance off contest for making the evening so entertaining with his mind blowing dance moves as we all cheered to “All the Single Ladies“!
