The Third Annual Fashion Houston 2012 kicked off on a glamorous note on Monday at the Wortham Center with Houston’s fashionistas, socialites, media and journalists in attendance. The red carpet moment picked up around 6:30pm lining up some serious fashion gurus like Neal Hamil, Clifford Pugh, Helen Perry, Jeff Gremillion, and Roz Pactor. Each year it’s getting bigger and better as stated by Fashion Houston founder Jared Lang, was apparent as we spotted Houston’s fashionable divas rocking the scene with: Yasmine Haddad, Karina Barbieri, Nancy Golden, Gabriela Dror, and others.

Also spotted at the night of fashion Miya Shay, Donae ‘The vintage contessa’ Chramosta, Sharron Melton, Hanh Tran, Taft McWhorter and a grand entrance by the 2012 Fashion Icon Diane Lokey Farb.

Clifford Pugh, Editor-in-chief of Culturemap.com said that he was very impressed to see the way women in Houston dress and was very curious to take a sneak speak into the closet of Diane Lokey Farb. Creative Director of Fashion Houston, Neal Hamil declared it to be a great international city with an amazing mix of cultures and that is represented in the fashion scene. Speaking of international fame, Fashion Houston Day 1 highlighted two creative designers from Lebanon, Georges Chakra and Rabih Kayrouz, along with Los Angeles designers Laurel Berman of Black Halo and Lubov Azria of BCBG Max Azria.
