Lights Camera Action had the privilege to watch the show on the opening night. It was a phenomenal experience watching the Blue Man Group performing Live on the 4th of June at Jones Hall, Houston Texas. The performance which was an explosion of comedy, music, and technology is a must watch for all. The show was high on energy and had amazing 2.5 dimensional effects making the audience laugh uncontrollably, sing along and even dance (shake their derriere). Each part of the performance was thrilling, different and entertaining.
The Blue Man Group is an organization that produces theatrical shows and concerts featuring experimental music, with an emphasis on percussion, comedy and multimedia. All of the organization’s theatrical performances star a trio of humanoid characters called Blue Men, played by actor-musicians Chris Wink, Matt Goldman and Phil Stanton who wear bald caps and uniform blue makeup.
Blue Man Group creates experiences that defy categorization and is best known for multi-media performances that feature three bald and blue characters who take audience members on a journey that is funny, intelligent and visually stunning. A live band, whose haunting tribal rhythms help drive the show to its climax, accompanies the Blue Men on stage.
