Indo American Chamber of Commerce Gala was a Show Stopper!
Hilton Americas in Downtown Houston witnessed a full house on Saturday August 17, 2013 as The Indo American Chamber of Commerce hosted their Annual sold out gala with some high rollers in the finance and political arena. The gala was successfully chaired by Pankaj and Asha Dhume and Houston’s Indian American community is well aware that when this couple gets involved its going to be good!
The gala took an interesting outlook this year. Along with some serious business networking, guests at the gala were entertained by a fashion show modeled by HTown’s favorite ladies and gentlemen. Choreographed by Naach Houston’s Mahesh Mahbhubani the show was the talk of the town. Houston’s power couple Rick and Tanya Pal were the emcees for the evening.
The event was graced by many dignitaries including Mayor Annise Parker, Harris county Sheriff Adrian Garcia, Consul General of India in Houston Mr. Parvathaneni Harish, and many others.
This year’s gala embraced fashion and promoted many local fashion houses. Lights Camera Action’s top five fashionable divas were: Sneha Merchant who walked the ramp in a lehenga and also scored many compliments on her black lace dress, Pia Pratap Anand looked stunningly elegant in a black churridar, Supriya Bhuchar walked the ramp confidently in a traditional anarkali, Ken General was in a maroon sherwani, and first time in Indian attire, Abigail Jacobson was in a red lehenga.
The top three stunning couples at the gala were: Rick and Tanya B. Pal, Pankaj and Asha Dhume, and Nancy and Pete Olson.
Lights Camera Action gives two thumbs up to this very well organized gala, filled with entertainment and networking opportunities. Sanjay Ram was appointed the new President of The Indo American Chamber of Commerce Greater Houston. For more info about the Indo American Chamber of Commerce Gala visit iaccgh.com.
