Houston Greets their 2015 Miss Houston and Miss Houston Teen

2015 Miss Houston and Miss Houston Teen (4)The Miss Houston / Miss Houston Teen 2015 Pageant was held on April 3rd and 4th at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel. Contestants from all over the Greater Houston Gulf Coast Area competed for an estimated $20,000 in prizes. The show was hosted by Albert Soliz of San Antonio and double crown winner Nicole O’Brian Lassiter, MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® 2000 and MISS TEXAS USA® 2003. Ms. Brigette Kirkconnell produced and choreographed the exciting event. Entertainment was provided by award winning professional dancers from Fred Astaire Studios, Joshua Bradford, Daniel Blain, Alexandra Dane and Mihaly Meszaros. Gracing the stage and stars of the show were the reigning Miss Houston Teen 2014, Kirby Lindley and Miss Houston 2014, Ligia DeUriarte, with a special appearance by the reigning MISS TEXAS USA® 2015, Ylianna Guerra and MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® 2015 Chloe Kembel.

Miss Thamer Kay Favor was crowned Miss Houston 2015 and also named as Most Photogenic as well as Swimsuit Specialty Winner! First Runner-Up to Miss Houston and Evening Gown Specialty Award Winner was Logan Lester, Second Runner-Up was Ashlea Gutierrez, Third Runner-Up was Lexa Lavender and Fourth Runner-Up and recipient of the People’s Choice Award was Danielle Bosley. Courtney Newman was a semi-finalist and also selected by her peers as the winner of the JuCan Spirit Award (formerly Miss Congeniality Award). With love, gratitude and tender hearts, the Miss Houston Pageant was dedicated to the memory of Noah Johannes, Matthew Bosley and Julia Cobb. Proceeds from the People’s Choice award were donated to the JuCan Foundation, raising $2,074.

2015 Miss Houston and Miss Houston Teen (3)Livia Lavender was crowned Miss Houston Teen 2015 and was also Most Photogenic! Finalists included First Runner-up Dasha Brotherton; Second Runner-up Karlie Hay received the Swimsuit Specialty Award and the JuCan Spirit Award (formerly Miss Congeniality Award). Third Runner-up included Cary Villarreal also winner of the Evening Gown Award and Fourth Runner-up to Miss Houston Teen was Mary Frances Nance. From the teen contestants, Estella Brooks received the People’s Choice Award.

Thamer Kay Favor, Miss Houston and Miss Houston Teen Livia Lavender will represent the Greater Houston Area, if they meet all of the eligibility requirements in their respective state pageants. MISS TEXAS TEEN USA® and MISS TEXAS USA® pageants are produced by the Crystal Group, which is part of the prestigious MISS USA®, MISS UNIVERSE® and MISS TEEN USA® pageant system owned in partnership by the Donald Trump Organization and NBC Enterprises.
