HUM Ensemble Mesmerizes Houstonians

The Aga Khan Council for the Southwestern United States presented a mesmerizing evening with Sandeep Das and the HUM Ensemble concert at the Asia Society Texas Center on Saturday.
Grammy nominee Sandeep Das is considered one of the leading tabla players in the world today. His exceptional collaborative abilities can be found from sixteen years of experience in composing and performing with the Legendary cellist Yo-Yo Ma and The Silk Road Ensembles, The New York Philharmonic, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and The Boston Symphony Orchestra. Joining him at sarangi was Suhail Yusuf Khan, and Kenan Adnawi, an oud virtuoso from Syria.
The musical concert was a very pleasant getaway from the usual humdrum of life conveying the message of peace love and harmony.
