Let the Party Begin - 2017

Hope you all had a fabulous time ringing in 2017! Personally, I enjoyed a little getaway to Playa De Carmen for NYE but Houston’s party scene was soaring. 2017 started on a high note with some fabulous parties. Here are some of the amazing fun parties Htown is still talking about.

Downtown was bustling with not just the usual night club hustle and bustle but a chic gala event hosted by Ars Lyrica Houston and amazing group of Host Committee members including: Robin Angly & Miles Smith, Darrin Davis & Mario Gudmundsson (gala chairs), Carrie & Sverre Brandsberg-Dahl, Drs. Ishwaria & Vivek Subbiah, Dr. Andrew Davis (Dean, College of the Arts at the University of Houston), Jeremy Garcia & Brian McCulloch, Beth & John Harper, Emily Schreiber, Liam & Meredith Bonner, Ann Ayre, and many more.

Le Colonial Restaurant at River Oaks District was a sell out with an eclectic group of party goers.

There was nothing low key about Ella Markovsky’s New Year’s Eve Las Vegas themed party. Ella Promotions rang in the 2017 New Year Las Vegas style with all things Vegas including a casino, show girls, magicians, clowns, burlesque and live performers, dinner, dancing and an open bar.

Houston had something for everyone. For desi music lovers Rehan Siddiqi & 106.1 FM presented the Bollywood musical legend Kumar Sanu to a packed audience of over 1,400 guests. Sanu and his musicians came all the way from India only for this show in Houston, and it was certainly the most attended South Asian New Year’s party.

Make some noise Woodlands! Million dollar closet fame, author, fashionista Theresa Meyers Roemer knows how to throw a lavish party. She along side her glamorous friends danced the night away ringing in 2017 with style. Spotted at her party were: Staci Quan Henderson, Michael Pearce & Matt Burrus, Anika Jackson & John Newinn, Brian De Armas, Lois De Armas, and many others.
